DESCRIPTION:The Bridgehampton Museum invites the public to celebrate the op
 ening of two new exhibitions on Thursday\, October 1\, from 6 to 8pm at th
 e Tractor Barn\, 2368 Montauk Highway\, Bridgehampton.\nA Line\, A Shape\,
  A Tool brings together work by Will Corwin\, Pooneh Maghazehe\, Russell M
 altz\, and Sun You\, exploring sculpture through geometry\, material\, for
 m\, utility\, and the human impulse to create. Originally presented by Gea
 ry in Salisbury\, Connecticut\, the exhibition brings four distinct approa
 ches to contemporary sculpture into dialogue.\nAlso on view is RUSSELL MAL
 TZ: PAINTED/STACKED/SUSPENDED “MAKING ITSELF\,” a survey of more than 
 four decades of Maltz’s materially driven approach to abstract painting 
 and sculpture. Using industrial materials and site-specific installations\
 , Maltz challenges traditional definitions of painting\, sculpture\, and a
