veloped by Jack Lenor Larsen with input and help from a large number of le
ading garden and arts and crafts designers. Over the last 30 years Judy an
d Ennius Bergsma significantly built and expanded on the original vision.
The size of the garden\, 10 acres\, allows for great diversity while using
“mass” plantings and two ponds to create serenity. It is a “multi r
oom” contemplative garden with an exceptional array of great trees: one
of the first China Metasequoias propagated at the Arnold Arboretum in 1949
 \, a spectacular fern leaf beach\, large copper beaches\, a large Auracari
a auracana (monkey puzzle)\, columnar maples\, umbrella pine and many othe
 r trees.\n\n
