SUMMARY:Unplugged Nature Walk & Sound Healing with Rachel Lee Hovnanian and
  Adriana Barone
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Rachel Lee Hovnanian and sound healer Adriana Baron
 e for a two-part program inspired by presence\, attention\, and reconnecti
on with the natural world.\n\nStep away from the digital noise and onto th
e LongHouse grounds for an unplugged\, sensory nature walk guided by Rache
l Lee Hovnanian. Guests are invited to place their phones on silent and in
a Yondr pouch before setting out. This act of intentional disconnection m
irrors the spirit of Rachel Lee Hovnanian’s artistic practice as represe
nted earlier this year in Nature Deficit Disorder at the Baltimore Museum
of Art's Spring House.\n\nGuests will settle into the Pavilion after the w
alk for a relaxing sound healing session led by Adriana Barone. Let the re
sonant tones of various healing instruments wash over you\, grounding the
sensory experience from your time outdoors.\n\nFollowing the sound healing
session\, light refreshments will be offered and Hovnanian and Barone wil
l engage in an informal\, moderated conversation about art\, attention and
healing. Though they work in different mediums--Hovnanian through concept
ual art and Barone through sound healing--both artists create experiences
that invite reflection\, restore attention\, and foster emotional well-bei
ng. Together\, they will discuss art as a catalyst for healing\, the impac
t of technology on the human experience\, and the role of presence\, natur
e\, and creativity in cultivating deeper connection before opening the con
versation to questions.\n\nEnjoy a uniquely restorative experience for the
  mind\, body\, and spirit—no Wi-Fi required.\n\nProgram Schedule\n\nGuid

\nRachel Lee Hovnanian is a conceptual artist working across sculpture\, i
nstallation\, painting and performance. Her work engages with the disconne
ction and isolation caused by digital addictions and our relentless pursui
t of beauty and perfection. Hovnanian explores the inauthentic veneer of c
ontemporary life\, with her work consistently exposing the tension between
the real and the unreal.\n\nHovnanian received her Bachelor of Fine Arts
from the University of Texas at Austin and completed postgraduate studies
at Parsons School of Design in New York. Hovnanian's work is held in numer
ous private collections and has been exhibited in galleries and institutio
ns internationally across the United States\, Asia\, Europe\, and the Midd
le East. Select solo exhibitions include the 59th Venice Biennale and the
Baltimore Museum of Art\, among others. Born in Parkersburg\, West Virgini
a and raised in Houston\, Texas\, Hovnanian lives between Miami\, New York
  and Italy.\n\nAdriana Barone\n\nAdriana Barone CAEH\, BHSP\, CYT\, practi
ces advanced energy healing\, craniosacral therapy\, spiritual counseling
and sound healing in Sag Harbor\, NY and remotely on Zoom. Her work addres
s physical illness\, emotional issues\, personal growth and spiritual well
-being. She works with individuals\, couples and groups and has been in pr
actice since 1994.\n\nIn addition she teaches class in Energy Awareness\,
holds weekly Sound Healing sessions and has been a Sound Practitioner for
over 8 years\, in affiliation with Long House Reserve in East Hampton.\nAd
riana completed her post-graduate degrees at the Barbara Brennan School of
Healing\, a four year accredited program of Healing Science in 2006 and a
t the School of Energy Mastery in 1994. Her Continuing Ed studies include
Craniosacral Therapy and Pediatric Cranial Care at the Upledger Institute\
, and 3 years of Psychodrama training with Dr. Tian Dayton\, PhD in NYC.\n
\nPhoto by Francesco Bevilacqua\n\nPhone-Free Session (Powered by Yondr)\n
\nThis session will be experienced phone-free to support deeper focus and
meaningful connection.\n\nUpon arrival\, attendees will receive a Yondr po
uch to securely store their phone\, smartwatch\, or AirPods. You’ll keep
your pouch with you throughout the session and can unlock it afterward at
a designated station.\n\nWhy? Because sometimes\, the boldest tech move i
s choosing to unplug. Thank you for helping us create space for presence\,
  reflection\, and big ideas.
