The East End’s Independence Day weekend is defined by waterfront crowds, harbor reflections, village parades, and fireworks stretching across beaches, bays, and small-town main streets.
This year, the return of East Hampton’s Main Beach fireworks after 20 years headlines the July 4 lineup, joined by major displays in Montauk, Sag Harbor, Riverhead, Westhampton Beach, and more—followed by additional shows throughout mid-July.

Saturday, July 4 | 8 p.m. Where: Main Beach, Ocean Avenue, East Hampton, NY 11937
The East Hampton Fire Department’s Main Beach fireworks return to Independence Day, restoring one of the East End’s most iconic summer traditions. Expect a full beachfront crowd and one of the most anticipated nights of the season. Get there early find parking and a good viewing spot.
Saturday, July 4 | 9 p.m. Where: Montauk Inlet; viewing at Gosman’s Dock, Gin Beach, Montauk Point Lighthouse
A signature East End celebration featuring Fireworks by Grucci, launched from a barge off Montauk Inlet. Shuttle service runs to key viewing areas across the village.

A long-running harbor tradition hosted by the Sag Harbor Yacht Club. Best viewed from Marine Park, waterfront streets, beaches, or boats in the harbor.
