The 16th annual Lighting of the Vines at Wölffer Estate Vineyard went off without a hitch on Dec. 6 as hundreds of locals — and many who traveled specifically to Sagaponack for the beloved tradition — gathered for one of the most festive holiday events in the Hamptons.

As Santa stood among the rows of vines leading the countdown to the light show, a spirited crowd assembled with a beverage in one hand and a cellphone in the other to record the moment. The sold-out evening included live holiday music, hot cider, passed hors d’oeuvres and Wölffer wines. Winemaker Roman Roth, continuing his tradition of leading the crowd in song, performed alongside Sarah Conway and the Playful Souls.

Holiday Wreath Designs Benefit Bridgehampton Child Care Center

One hundred percent of the proceeds from a silent auction of holiday wreaths—designed by community artists, designers and business owners—benefited The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center’s children and families.

The Center, a community-based organization serving marginalized East End families, works to encourage, educate and empower children and their caregivers. Executive Director Bonnie Cannon was on hand to participate in the festivities.
