Immanuel Wilkins Quartet

Hamptons JazzFest presents the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet at LTV Studios in Wainscott — a powerful modern jazz performance marked by deep groove, spiritual intensity, and fearless improvisation from one of the most celebrated young voices in contemporary jazz.

Immanuel Wilkins is an alto saxophonist, composer, and bandleader from Philadelphia and a graduate of The Juilliard School. He has gained international recognition through his recordings as a leader and collaborations with artists including Jason Moran, Wynton Marsalis, Joel Ross, and Nasheet Waits.

Known for his commanding tone, expressive improvisation, and emotionally charged compositions, Wilkins combines modern jazz language with influences drawn from gospel, blues, and the broader Black American musical tradition. His recordings and performances have received widespread critical recognition for their intensity, ensemble cohesion, and compositional depth.
