Paws, Claws, And Cause: ARF’s Bow Wow Meow Ball Returns To The Hamptons

The Hamptons’ social season is going to the dogs and cats once again. On Saturday, August 16th, the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) will roll out the red carpet, or should we say the red leash, for its beloved Bow Wow Meow Ball. This year, the event will take place at the William P. Rayner Training Center in East Hampton.

The evening will honor Ellen and Chuck Scarborough with the Champion of Animals Award. This recognition fits the couple’s 25 years of dedicated support for ARF. From fundraising to hosting events and even opening their home to rescues, the Scarboroughs have been essential to the organization’s growth and impact.

More than 400 guests are expected to sip cocktails before enjoying a stylish dinner catered by Olivier Cheng. After dinner, guests will dance to music provided by DJ Othello. Peter Marino will serve as the emcee, ensuring the night is filled with both flair and heart. True to ARF’s tradition, some very special four-legged attendees, cats and dogs seeking forever homes, will be mingling with guests, making it the most adorable gala of the summer.

The Bow Wow Meow Ball is more than just a party; it’s a lifeline. Proceeds support ARF’s mission to rescue cats and dogs from high-kill shelters and difficult circumstances. The organization provides medical care, spay/neuter services, training, and, most importantly, new beginnings with loving families. Over its 50-year history, ARF has helped tens of thousands of animals find their happy endings.

As always, the evening will have support from generous sponsors, including Kontokosta Winery, Sag Harbor Florist, Montauk Distilling Co., Flecha Azul Tequila, and Hamptons Magazine.

With tickets starting at $1,500 and tables at $12,500, the Bow Wow Meow Ball is one of the season’s most sought-after tickets. It benefits a cause that’s as heartwarming as a wagging tail or a purring kitten.
