Hand-rolled bagels, 14 cream cheeses, and lines out the door

Ellen Krass, a Broadway producer, longtime resident of East Hampton who happens to eat out at least five times a week, says Broad Nosh Bagels is hands down the best bagel in New York City.

“Broad Nosh is on my block (314 W58th St) and when I go out there are 50 people outside waiting to get in. The hand rolled bagels are not only delicious, but they must have about 14 different cream cheeses. I also love their sandwiches—my favorite is the turkey and avocado on pumpernickel bagel. Is so great and the guys behind the counter there are so nice.”

Bonus obsession: If you’re looking for a great lunch spot, Ellen says Marea on 59th and Central Park is “the best lunch I’ve ever had. A green salad, a pasta with clams and shrimp. I’m not sure if the whole thing was cooked with butter but it was so delicious you could faint. The Sancerre was $35/glass so definitely go for a special occasion.”
