Hands-On Paella & Tapas Cooking Classes Return to Hampton Bays at R.AIRE With Wine Pairings
Chef Alex Bujoreanu invites guests into the kitchen for an intimate Sunday series celebrating authentic Spanish cuisine.
If you’ve ever ordered paella or tapas and thought, I wish I could make this at home, here’s your chance.
R.AIRE is bringing back its popular hands-on cooking classes, led by Executive Chef Alex Bujoreanu. The interactive series gives guests the opportunity to learn how to prepare classic Spanish tapas and traditional paella — all paired with thoughtfully selected wines — in an intimate, chef-guided setting.
Classes will be held Sundays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 8, March 22, April 12 and April 26. The $150 per person experience, plus tax and gratuity, includes step-by-step instruction, seasonal ingredients and curated wine pairings that complement each dish. Reservations can be made through the restaurant’s website.
Authentic Spanish Technique, Seasonal Ingredients
A native of Spain, Chef Alex draws from his Mediterranean upbringing to shape the menu at R.AIRE. Ingredients are sourced seasonally — locally when possible and imported directly from Spain when essential — ensuring authenticity without compromise.
Nearly everything is prepared in-house, from stocks to cured meats and seafood dishes. The cuisine is crafted without butter or processed flour, allowing bold flavors and pristine ingredients to take center stage.
R.AIRE’s wine list, featuring more than 70 selections handpicked by Chef Alex, includes limited-production bottles rarely found elsewhere on the East End — adding another layer to the experience.
