Bye, Bye Baldwins? Hilaria Says The Family is Prepping to Leave the Hamptons
Saunders & Associates
After years of summers in Amagansett, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have their 10-acre estate back on the market for $19.995 million as the family of nine looks toward a new chapter beyond the East End.
The Baldwins have been as standard to the Hamptons in summertime as traffic jams and sunset cocktails for decades. But that might be changing.

Hilaria Baldwin hinted they’re getting ready to leave the East End. As many know, she and her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, put their Hamptons home back on the market for a little under $20 million as they look toward a new life somewhere else.
Located in Amagansett, the property has been on and off the market for a while, which shows they’ve changed their minds a few times, and it’s not easy selling a prominent celebrity house in such a competitive market. Now, they’re asking $19.995 million, and it looks like they’re really ready to sell the place where they’ve spent over ten summers.
Family of Nine & 9,000 Square Feet
The house is tremendous, almost 9,000 square feet, with five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. It’s a classic Hamptons place, ideal for lots of guests and long vacations. It sits on over 10 acres, which is a lot for this area. This gives them the privacy that has brought celebrities to the East End for years.
The Baldwins used this home as their family base. Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have seven children—Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, María, and Ilaria—who have spent their summers there, swimming, going to the beach, and attending local summer camps. The Hamptons routine—long days outside, dinners at home, and the calm after Labor Day—has been their way of life for years.
Time for Change
But, as many New Yorkers who rethought their lives during and after the pandemic move to the East End, the Baldwins seem ready for a change.
They first tried to sell the property in 2022 for $29 million when the real estate market was booming. When it didn’t sell, they lowered the price to $22.5 million before taking it off the market in 2023. They tried again in 2024, and now it’s listed for just under $20 million.
These price changes show what’s happening in the Hamptons luxury market. There’s still demand for expensive homes, but buyers are pickier now that there are more houses available after the crazy pandemic years. Big properties, especially those that need a lot of work, can take longer to sell than the modern houses that buyers want now.
Privacy and 10+ Acres
Still, the Baldwin property has one thing that’s rare in the East End: land. With over ten acres around the house, it offers a lot of privacy, which is hard to find in an area where land is being divided up and developed.
The choice to leave also means the family is changing their lifestyle. Hilaria Baldwin has said they’ve thought about moving out of New York completely, maybe even to California. It seems like starting fresh somewhere new is appealing for a family with seven kids and two careers in the public eye.
East Coast or West Coast?
It’s not clear if they’ll end up on the West Coast or who knows where. But it looks like one of the Hamptons’ most renowned families might be moving.
If they find a buyer, the Baldwins will leave behind a house and ten summers on the East End—a time of family life, famous headlines, and a home that was their own private spot in the Hamptons for years.
