“Still, two people are newly diagnosed with HIV every minute. Every single minute one person dies of AIDS. Tonight, we’re here to fund the research that will help build a healthier world for our children and their children.” — Christie Brinkley

amfAR CEO Kyle Clifford followed with a personal reflection on living with HIV, underscoring the life-changing power of research—and the hope it provides.

In their acceptance remarks, the Baier’s spoike about their connection to amfAR’s mission through their son’s lifelong battle with congenital heart disease:

“That’s what makes amfAR so special. It’s not just funding science; it’s pushing what’s possible forward. We’ve seen firsthand what happens when innovation and compassion come together. Philanthropy isn’t just about giving; it’s about believing. In people. In a vision. Getting in the arena, making the world better one step at a time.” — Amy and Bret Baier
