New York’s fashionable earthlings and extraterrestrials turned out in wildly inventive costumes for an out-of-this-world Halloween bash. See the photos.

Actress and philanthropist Leesa Rowland and Larry Wohl, joined by fashion designer Marc Bouwer, brought a little intergalactic mischief to Casa Cece in New York City for their annual Halloween extravaganza.

This year’s theme, “Calling All Aliens Home: Forbidden Planet,” inspired a parade of celestial couture, metallic space-age creations and imaginative alien alter egos, as guests embraced the chance to dress for another galaxy.

The result was a colorful collision of high fashion, science fiction and Halloween imagination, with plenty of camera-ready moments.

Rowland’s own Halloween look was designed by Bouwer, with hair by Marco Maranghello and makeup by Dimitry Kukushkin. The evening was produced by Hank Stampfl of Revel Rouge.

Beyond her annual Halloween celebrations, Rowland is an actress, philanthropist and longtime animal rights advocate. She has worked with Last Chance for Animals since 1989 and founded the New York nonprofit Animal Ashram in 2013.
