The 11th annual North Fork TV Festival brought a strong cross section of television talent and industry leaders to Greenport Oct. 21-22 for two days of conversations, screenings and a look at the changing landscape of television.
Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Bridget Moynahan (Blue Bloods), Kelly AuCoin (Billions), Denée Benton (The Gilded Age) and Melissa Navia (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) were among the participants.
Anderson received the festival’s highest honor, the Canopy Award, while Walsh was presented with the Ambassador for the Arts Award. Benton received the Breakout Performance Award.
Founded in 2015 by Noah Doyle, the North Fork TV Festival has become an annual gathering for television professionals and independent creators, with a particular emphasis on discovering new talent, fostering industry connections and providing a platform for original storytelling.
This year’s program explored some of the industry’s most pressing issues, including the impact of artificial intelligence on storytelling and the creative and business challenges of developing television projects. The In Talks With … series featured conversations with established performers, while independent pilot screenings and script competitions showcased emerging writers and filmmakers.
The festival concluded with an awards dinner at The Halyard at Sound View Greenport, bringing participants together to celebrate the achievements of established artists and the next generation of television storytellers.
