Arthur & Sons: New Happy Hour & Red Sauce Prix Fixe
East Hampton’s secret dining upgrade just launched, and yes, it includes Chicken Parm, $6 beers, and a 4:30 p.m. start time.
Here’s the deal: Arthur & Sons, the unapologetically old-school, red-sauce place that feels more like Mulberry Street than Main Street, has made a bold move in East Hampton. They quietly introduced a new happy hour and prix fixe menu, making it the go-to spot for off-duty stylists, industry types, and that one guy from Montauk who still wears Gucci loafers to dinner.
From Wednesday to Sunday, starting at 4:30 p.m., you can grab a bar stool and enjoy golden hour with $6 draft beers, $12 house wines, and $15 cocktails that won’t come in a plastic cup. Appetizers and salads are half price. Yes, even the mozzarella sticks.
But the real highlight is the $42.95 prix fixe menu. Think Caesar salad, spicy rigatoni, and a dessert (it’s technically $9.95 extra, but whatever). It feels low-key luxurious, like ordering a second martini and not checking your bank account. The menu changes, but staples include Meatballs, Chicken Francese, and Eggplant Parm.
