The South Fork Natural History Museum’s 37th Annual Summer Gala celebrated environmental leaders while raising support for education, conservation and community programs.
The South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SOFO) celebrated its 37th Annual Summer Gala Benefit in Bridgehampton with the theme, Celebrate the Power of Our Natural World: Protecting Our Planet’s Living Waters & Lands.
One of the East End’s signature summer charity events, the gala raised funds to support SOFO’s environmental education programs, museum initiatives, conservation efforts and community outreach. The evening brought together conservation leaders, philanthropists and Hamptons supporters for a celebration of the natural world.
The 2026 honorees included Fabien Cousteau, renowned aquanaut, ocean conservationist and documentary filmmaker; Bernadette Castro, civic leader and environmental advocate; Louise and Stephen Pesce, longtime supporters of conservation and community initiatives; and Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist, humanitarian and advocate.
Guests enjoyed a VIP cocktail reception featuring tastings from acclaimed chefs, restaurants and beverage sponsors, followed by dinner, the awards presentation, a live auction led by guest auctioneer Angela LaGreca, and dancing.
