From new restaurants and coffee shops to waterfront re-concepts and boutique hotels, here’s what’s new—and what’s coming soon—across the North Fork this season.
Riverhead
Shake Shack
The East End’s first Shake Shack is set to open June 30 at Tanger Outlets Riverhead, bringing the brand’s signature burgers, fries, shakes, and frozen custard to the North Fork.
Abigayle’s at Preston House
The team behind Watershed Kitchen is expanding its Riverhead footprint with Abigayle’s at the historic Preston House. The highly anticipated restaurant is slated to open this summer in late June, adding another destination dining spot to downtown Riverhead.
Bread & Butter Market & Bottle
Opened around Memorial Day on Sound Avenue, Bread & Butter Market & Bottle combines a neighborhood market, deli, coffee bar, and wine and spirits shop into one convenient stop for locals and visitors alike.

Southold
Stone Street Cafe
The NYC coffee favorite has opened a new Southold outpost in the former Southold General space on Main Road. Expect specialty coffee, breakfast and lunch fare, and grab-and-go bites at one of the North Fork’s newest gathering spots.
Greenport
One of the North Fork’s most iconic destinations has undergone a major refresh for 2026. The reimagined waterfront campus includes Claudio’s Restaurant, Claudio’s Waterfront, Saylor Beach House, and Le Shack Beach, offering a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere while preserving the property’s historic charm.
Smuggler’s Cove
The former Porto Bello at Safe Harbor Stirling Marina has been transformed into Smuggler’s Cove, a new waterfront restaurant that opened ahead of Memorial Day following an extensive renovation.
Anker
Anker returns for the season with East End culinary veteran Alfred Hand as executive chef, introducing a refreshed menu centered on seasonal seafood and locally sourced ingredients.
Casa Amigos
The popular Mexican restaurant has relocated from Front Street to a larger home at 131 Third St., featuring an expanded bar, dining room, and outdoor patio.
