Men of the Hamptons Puts the Guys in the Fashion Spotlight at The HUB

The Bridgehampton event turns the tables on the Hamptons pop-up circuit Aug. 21 with more than 15 menswear brands, models, colorful summer style, accessories, bourbon and cigars — all while supporting Hamptons Pride.

The Hamptons summer fashion circuit has never exactly suffered from a shortage of dresses, bikinis, handbags and women’s pop-ups.

Friday night, the guys get the racks.

Men of the Hamptons takes over The HUB in Bridgehampton on Friday, Aug. 21, bringing together more than 15 menswear and accessories brands for what organizers are calling the only dedicated men’s fashion event of the Hamptons season.

And while the promotional videos have been putting out the call for some decidedly camera-ready male models, the clothes themselves aren’t all about flexing. The lineup ranges from colorful polos, cashmere and denim to resort shirts, swimwear, jewelry and accessories, sunglasses, sandals and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.

In other words, there should be plenty to look at — on the racks and otherwise.

The presentation-style evening pairs fashion with signature cocktails from Blue Ash Farm Bourbon, hand-rolled cigars from King David Cigars, light bites and live music — with all door proceeds benefiting Hamptons Pride, the all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) public charity serving the LGBTQIA+ community on the East End.

And this may be one of the better $25 deals in the Hamptons this summer.

With a requested donation of $25 or more, guests receive a pair of luxury NEUDE underwear, valued at $40, a $25 HUB gift card and two drink tickets. That’s $65 in merchandise plus drinks for a $25 donation — all while supporting Hamptons Pride.

NEUDE, the new luxury men’s underwear label from celebrity stylist Eric Niemand, will make its debut at the event, adding a little extra intrigue to a night that already promises plenty of summer style.

More Than a Polo Shirt

Although, yes, there are some very good polo shirts.

RAILS brings its Los Angeles take on elevated everyday dressing, including the ultrasoft shirts that helped establish the brand.

POTRO puts a luxury spin on the polo with menswear inspired by Latino heritage and crafted from Peruvian Pima cotton.

NEUDE makes its official debut at The HUB, introducing Niemand’s new luxury underwear collection designed for lift, support and comfort.

DL1961 brings premium denim from the family-owned, vertically integrated brand known for its focus on lower-water manufacturing and sustainable production.

HANK keeps things local. The Bridgehampton-based, Hamptons-born label specializes in limited-edition cashmere sweaters, polos and resort staples.

SOLSTITCH steps into summer with eco-conscious sandals made with natural jute footbeds and algae-based foam.

DEAN ALAN offers New York-designed, bohemian-inspired resortwear with an ethically made men’s collection.

SERNA gets down to the details with bespoke buttons, buckles and trims the label describes as “architectural hardware for apparel.”

BEN MO 2.0, from celebrity stylist Montgomery Frazier, goes well beyond Hamptons beige with bold, print-forward, made-to-order athleisure and lifestyle pieces.

SNOW MILK turns salvaged and vintage clothing into individually numbered, one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.

RYAN MARCEL brings minimalist resortwear in natural fibers, drawing inspiration from both the Costa Rican coastline and New York City.

PRINCE + BOND supplies the swim-and-resort component with Portugal-made luxury swim shorts and resort polos influenced by Mediterranean modernism.

OUT EAST EYEWEAR is another homegrown entry, with polarized sunglasses designed in the Hamptons and made for considerably more than one summer.

JAMES PAUL CHEUNG turns cashmere, wool and silk scarves into wearable art through collaborations with visual artists.

WYATT INGRAHAM brings color to the lineup with statement shirts and resortwear from the emerging Hamptons-adjacent designer.

And SALVAGE RENAISSANCE gives vintage finds another life, transforming flea-market and thrifted pieces with embroidery, hand-painted details and contemporary updates.

Taken together, it’s a fairly convincing argument that Hamptons men can venture beyond the standard summer uniform of a polo, shorts and loafers.

Of course, with models, underwear, bourbon and cigars also on Friday night’s agenda, Men of the Hamptons isn’t entirely above putting a little testosterone into the traditional Hamptons fashion pop-up.

This time, though, the guys get the spotlight — and Hamptons Pride gets the support.
