The Southampton History Museum held its annual Halsey House Gala on July 3 at Halsey House & Garden, gathering guests on the grounds of Southampton’s oldest building for an evening celebrating America 250.
Co-chaired by Jean Shafiroff and Mary Slattery and emceed by Bill McCuddy, the benefit featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music and a live auction. Proceeds supported the museum’s work preserving and sharing the history and culture of Southampton.
Auction highlights included Asprey glassware and a painting by Hunt Slonem, which drew spirited bidding. Guests included Bill Manger, Rebecca Seawright, Meg and James McCartney, Dede Gotthelf, Terry Moan, Steven Stolman, Rich Wilkie, Mark Lemerise, Morgan Suckow, Noel and Deborah Hare, Jeff Pfeiffle, David Granville, Quinn Pofahl, Jaime Jimenez, Leighton Candler, Ruth Miller, Elizabeth Mohtares, Tim Pontarelli, Sally Van Erk and Barbara Zweig.
