ARF Hamptons Bow Wow Meow Ball Returns to East Hampton, Honoring Lisa McCarthy
The sold-out Aug. 15 benefit will bring more than 400 guests to ARF Hamptons for cocktails, dinner, dancing and a celebration of animal rescue, with Lisa McCarthy receiving the Champion of Animals Award.
One of the Hamptons’ most beloved benefits — with some four-legged guests joining the party — returns Saturday, Aug. 15, when the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons hosts its annual Bow Wow Meow Ball at its East Hampton campus.
This year, ARF Hamptons will honor longtime board member and animal welfare advocate Lisa McCarthy with its Champion of Animals Award, recognizing her decades of leadership and commitment to animal rescue.

McCarthy joined the ARF board in 2003 and served as president for eight years, helping guide the organization through a period of significant growth. She also works with fellow board member and Everyday Elegance co-founder Alex Papachristidis on the look and guest experience of the Bow Wow Meow Ball each year.
Her animal welfare work extends beyond the Hamptons. McCarthy serves as vice president of the Humane Society of Vero Beach. In 2007, she and her husband, Brian, earned their private pilot licenses and went on to fly numerous missions for Animal Rescue Flights.
More than 400 guests from New York and the Hamptons are expected for the evening, which begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner catered by Olivier Cheng and dancing in ARF’s William P. Rayner Training Center.

Chuck Scarborough will serve as emcee, with Harry Santa-Olalla as auctioneer. The night will continue with dancing and music by GR1FN.
And this is the Bow Wow Meow Ball, after all: A group of ARF cats and dogs currently available for adoption will also join the festivities.
Proceeds from the benefit support ARF’s rescue and adoption programs. Since 1974, the East Hampton-based nonprofit has provided shelter, medical care, training and adoption services for homeless cats and dogs. ARF also operates a pet food pantry, low-cost veterinary clinics, free spay and neuter clinics for feral cats, and year-round dog training and socialization programs.
The Bow Wow Meow Ball has reached capacity, and tickets are now sold out. Those who still want to support the organization can make a donation to help fund ARF’s rescue, medical care and adoption programs.
