Judi Desiderio: The Market Voice of the Hamptons
William Raveis
Judi Desiderio has spent over 30 years watching the Hamptons change. It went from a market based on local stuff to one powered by global money, changing lifestyles, and constant need. As a top person at William Raveis Real Estate, she’s seen these changes and helped guide the company through them. She’s built her career on honesty, deep knowledge of the market, and a commitment to her clients and coworkers.

Judi is an entrepreneur who built her real estate brokerage, Town & Country, until it sold it to William Raveis last year. Her know-how comes from doing a lot and seeing a lot. She’s handled thousands of deals involving almost every kind of property on the East End: business investments, land for building, fancy houses, and vacation spots. This big background is important because land, zoning, lifestyle, and when you buy or sell can matter as much as how a place looks. It’s also why buyers, sellers, and other people in the business turn to her for help. She can look at a property and see its potential.
Judi’s not just talking when she gives advice. She has divided large tracts of land, planned and constructed houses, renovated old buildings, and invested in business properties in the Hamptons and North Fork. She believes in the long-term value of “East End Dirt”—location, limited availability, and the right place. Because she’s been a broker and an investor, she gets the market from the inside out. This makes sense to her clients.
Almost all of Judi’s business comes from repeat customers and referrals. In the competitive luxury market, this shows how much people trust her. Because people trust her, she’s become a leader. Judi started out selling high-end homes, land, and business properties. She then helped one of the area’s most respected real estate companies grow by managing offices and a big team. For over 25 years, she’s been a reliable voice in real estate data, regularly reporting on market stats and what’s going on. Because of this, she’s often quoted in publications like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Judi went to Cortland State and got a Master’s degree from Adelphi University. Now, she uses what she learned to mentor others. She helps people in the business grow and helps teach the next group of East End real estate pros.
Desiderio’s commercial property for sale at 16 Hampton Road, Southampton, is going for $6,500,000.
When she’s not working, Judi enjoys her life on the East End with her husband, John Tracy, who is a New York City firefighter; their two sons, Drew and Jack; and her granddaughters, Ryann and Izzy. This personal part of her life connects with how she works. Real estate here isn’t just about deals. It involves family, feelings, and what home means.
For Judi, that’s the whole thing. “No two days are ever the same,” she says. “It’s never boring!” In the Hamptons market, that energy helps her stay ahead.
