Highlights include works by Romare Bearden — featuring a rare 1981 Jazz collage — along with Benny Andrews, Edward Bannister, Elizabeth Catlett, Robert Colescott, Robert S. Duncanson, Sam Gilliam, Clementine Hunter, and more.
Spanning generations, the exhibition underscores the lasting influence, resilience, and innovation of Black artists within the American art canon.
