Spark Hamptons Spring Salon Returns With Live Comedy, Readings, Storytelling & Shopping at The HUB in Bridgehampton to Benefit The Retreat
An intimate evening at The HUB blends comedy, storytelling, and new works-in-progress—plus a charitable shopping component benefiting The Retreat.
Spark Hamptons, in partnership with The HUB, will host its Spring Salon on Saturday, April 18, at 4 p.m., bringing together comedy, storytelling, new works in progress, a curated shopping experience, and refreshments for an intimate East End audience in one of the Hamptons’ most distinctive destinations. [Tickets here: HubHamptons.com]
Spark Hamptons co-publishers Angela LaGreca and Ty Wenzel will host the afternoon alongside The HUB. LaGreca will emcee the salon, sharing observations and stories throughout the program—and possibly a song—while guiding the conversation and performances.

This spring’s salon features a dynamic lineup of performances and readings. Joy Behar returns to workshop new material. Rolonda Wattswill perform stand-up and read from her forthcoming memoir. Actor and writer Randy Hemming will present excerpts from his series Tales From Retail, and Southampton-based writer and performer Brian Mott will share original poetry. Wenzel will also take the stage with storytelling.

In addition to emceeing, LaGreca will sit down for a live conversation with Behar and Cate Carbonaro, executive director of The Retreat, which supports survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
“Some people think a ‘Salon Night’ means they’ll be getting their hair or nails done—which is a fun idea—but not the case here,” LaGreca says. “We’re creating a modern salon where audiences can experience material in its early stages, connect, and be part of the creative process. The goal is to entertain and spark conversation.”
The Spark Hamptons salon series has become known for showcasing material before it reaches a wider stage. Last year, Behar performed early versions of her divorce monologues alongside Mercedes Ruehl and Tovah Feldshuh at salons held at The Southampton Inn. The material later evolved into My First Ex-Husband at Bay Street Theater, followed by a successful Off-Broadway run and a continuing national tour, with a London engagement set for June 2026. At the Spark Hamptons launch party salon in September, 2025, Christie Brinkley was one of the actors reading a new play by Behar.

A curated selection of clothing from The Retreat’s Bridgehampton boutique will be available for purchase at the event, with proceeds benefiting the organization.
Guests can expect an eclectic, relaxed atmosphere with drinks, light bites, and the rare opportunity to experience new work before it reaches a broader audience.
Tickets are $30, and seating is limited. Reservations are available at HubHamptons.com.
The HUB is located at 2183 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton, on the right-hand side heading east, just before Citarella.
