THE SPARK: “Love! Valour! Compassion!” Headlines Hamptons Pride Film Series in Sag Harbor

Tony winner John Glover joins sculptor Adam Kurtzman for a special screening at Bay Street Theater this Sunday

The Hamptons Pride Film Series continues this weekend with a screening of Love! Valour! Compassion! on Sunday, April 26 at 5 p.m. at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor—plus a rare in-person Q&A with Tony Award winner John Glover and his husband, sculptor Adam Kurtzman.

Adapted from Terrence McNally’s acclaimed Broadway play, the 1997 film follows eight gay men who gather at a lakeside home in upstate New York, navigating friendship, love, and survival at the height of the AIDS crisis. Glover, who won a Tony Award for his dual role as the Jekyll brothers on Broadway, reprises the performance in the film.

Following the screening, Glover and Kurtzman will discuss the legacy of the work, its continued relevance, and their personal connection to the story.

Tickets are $10 in advance, with the lobby opening one hour before showtime.

Launched in 2025, the Hamptons Pride Film Series spotlights iconic LGBTQIA+ films year-round, creating a space for the East End community to come together through cinema.
