More than 450 guests gathered in Southampton for the 68th Annual Summer Party, with Candace Bushnell, Jean Shafiroff, Fern Mallis, Charlotte and Alejandro Santo Domingo, Julie and Billy Macklowe, and other notable supporters helping raise more than $1.8 million for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
The Southampton Hospital Foundation’s 68th Annual Summer Party once again brought together philanthropy, fashion and the Hamptons social scene, raising more than $1.8 million to benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department.
Held Saturday, Aug. 1, beneath the iconic tents on Wickapogue Road in Southampton, the annual fundraiser welcomed more than 450 guests for this year’s theme, “An Evening at the Supper Club,” inspired by the glamour of 1940s nightlife.
Designed by acclaimed event designer DeJuan Stroud, the elegant setting featured candlelit décor, live music by Christiaan Padavan, an Elegant Affairs dinner, handcrafted cocktails from Macklowe Whiskey and Château Sainte Marguerite Rosé, and dancing late into the evening with The Frank Simmons Band. Guests also enjoyed Dolce & Gelato and Dreesen’s Doughnuts for a late-night dessert.
One of the night’s highlights was the live auction led by Lydia Fenet, where spirited bidding on a luxury safari to Ongava Game Reserve in Namibia became so competitive that a second safari package was added during the auction.
