Co-directors Alden Nusser and Ben Fries and producer Caroline Baron joined Alec Baldwin and David Nugent for a post-screening Q&A in East Hampton on August 1, 2026.
On Saturday, August 1, HamptonsFilm continued its 18th annual SummerDocs series with a screening of The Lion Queen at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Directed by Alden Nusser and Ben Fries, the HBO documentary examines the life of Swiss socialite Jocelyne Wildenstein and the wealth, art-world connections and tabloid scrutiny that shaped her public image.
The evening began with a reception at The Baker House 1650 before guests moved to Guild Hall for the screening.
Following the film, Nusser, Fries and producer Caroline Baron joined HamptonsFilm Co-Chair Alec Baldwin and Chief Creative Officer David Nugent for a Q&A. Guests included HamptonsFilm Executive Director Bob Feinberg, filmmaker Roger Ross Williams, Southampton Playhouse Executive Director Maria Ruiz Botsacos and Artistic Director Eric Kohn.
