Hamptons JazzFest presents Spin Cycle featuring Pete McCann at Hampton Library in Bridgehampton — a FREE outdoor community concert bringing groove-driven jazz, improvisation, and modern ensemble interplay to the East End with a dynamic and rhythmically focused performance.

Pete McCann is an Eau Claire, Wisconsin native who has been an integral part of the New York City jazz scene for over 30 years. A sought-after sideman from duos to big bands, McCann has appeared on over 100 recordings and performed at Carnegie Hall, jazz clubs, concert halls, and festivals across more than 20 countries. He has performed and recorded with Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz, The Manhattan Transfer, Patti Austin, Brian Blade, Grace Kelly, the Mahavishnu Project, and the Maria Schneider Orchestra.

McCann recently released Without Question, his seventh album as a leader, praised by Chalked Up Reviews as ‘a bold declaration of self-identity’ that reveals ‘a distinct aspect of his musical uniqueness’ across every track. DownBeat described his playing as having ‘such command of his instrument that he can go deep in any setting.’ He currently works with Spin Cycle alongside Grammy Award-winning ensembles led by Dan Pugach and Christopher Zuar.

This free performance at Hampton Library is open to all — no ticket required. A community concert celebrating the best of contemporary jazz on the East End.
