‘East End Collected’ Brings a New Wave of Artists to Southampton Arts Center
The much-anticipated group exhibition is back for its ninth edition with a fresh roster of Suffolk County artists working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and more
A new group of 29 artists takes over Southampton Arts Center this fall for “East End Collected,” the popular exhibition conceived by artist and curator Paton Miller to capture the breadth of creative work being made across the region.
The show kicks off with a public opening reception Saturday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. and remains on view through Dec. 27. All 29 artists are new to “East End Collected.”
Miller is curating the exhibition again with Christina Mossaides Strassfield, executive director of Southampton Arts Center. With no prescribed theme, the show spans painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, ceramics and other media.
“The artistic diversity of our area continues to amaze me,” Miller said. “These East End Collected exhibitions are chronicling what is happening here in real time. History will make the final press.”
The 2026 lineup includes Deborah Acquino, Sophia Ader, Henry Baker, Dee Benish, Peter Beston, Walter Bobbi, Rossa Cole, Anahi DeCanio, AG Duggan, Dorothy Frankel, Pat Garrity, Lucas Greffenius Scheuer, Harrison Haft, Kara Hoblin, Edward Joseph, Richard Law, Elizabeth Levine, Christa Maiwald, Holly Maran, Jon Auliffe, John Mellilo, ByeongDoo Moon, Grace Osborne, Oliver Peterson, Robert Singer, Ben Sosne, Janice Stanton, Lucy Villeneuve and Katie Whipple.
The lineup includes established artists with decades of history and deep roots on the East End alongside emerging artists in the local art scene.
“We are delighted to bring together such an exceptional group of artists who all share a connection to Suffolk County,” Strassfield said. “This exhibition is a celebration of the extraordinary creative energy that continues to make the East End such a special place for artists.”
Southampton Arts Center will also present artist panel discussions and curator-led tours during the exhibition. Artist statements and brief biographies will accompany the works in the galleries.
The SPARK: With an entirely new lineup, this year’s “East End Collected” offers a different cross-section of the artists creating across Suffolk County today.
