Three-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings Returns to Montauk for Hero Volley Beach Volleyball Tournament

Three-day event July 28-30 features professional beach volleyball, youth clinics, wellness experiences and community fundraising benefiting the Hampton Lifeguard Association.

Three-time Olympic gold medalist and beach volleyball legend Kerri Walsh Jennings returns to Montauk July 28-30 as Hero Volley brings three days of professional competition, youth clinics, wellness events and community celebrations to the East End.

Now in its second year, Hero Volley takes place at venues across Montauk, including Hero Beach Club, Kirk Park Beach, Lion’s Field, Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Spa and The Montauket. The event combines elite beach volleyball with Montauk’s signature coastal lifestyle, bringing together world-class professionals, rising stars, local athletes and fans.

“I’m thrilled to bring Hero Volley back to Montauk for its second year,” Walsh Jennings said. “This event has always been about more than competition — it’s about connection and community through the sport that has given me so much. This year, we’ve expanded the programming to create even more ways for people to experience it on and off the sand.”

The marquee event is the Hero Volley Pro-Am Tournament on Thursday, July 30, when professional players, invited amateurs, local lifeguards and VIP participants will compete in an eight-team tournament at Hero Beach Club and Kirk Park Beach.

Scheduled professional athletes include Taylor Crabb, Andy Benesh, Phil Dalhausser, Troy Field, Casey Jennings, Brooke Nuneviller, Taryn Brasher and Kristen Nuss Cruz.

  • Hero Volley Wellness Session with Kerri Walsh Jennings (invitation only) at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Spa
  • Sunset welcome reception and live music at The Montauket

Thursday, July 30

  • Hero Volley Pro-Am Tournament at Hero Beach Club and Kirk Park Beach
  • Closing sunset celebration at The Surf Lodge

This year’s event is supported by national and local partners, including Montauk Brewing Company, Organic Krush, East End Surf Club, Franklin, Firefly Recovery, Spiritual Gangster, Stretch Zone, Drift Wellness and SLUNKS.

A portion of proceeds from Hero Volley will benefit the Hampton Lifeguard Association, supporting water safety education, training and local lifeguard programs across the South Fork.
