The Birds Are Back: Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center’s Birds of Prey Return to Marders

The birds are back! The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center (EAWRC) will return to Marders on Saturday, October 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a special Birds of Prey educational program offering visitors the opportunity to meet some of the Center’s remarkable feathered ambassadors.

Guests of all ages are invited to get an up-close look at the Center’s resident Birds of Prey while learning more about these fascinating animals, their unique characteristics and the important roles they play in Long Island’s ecosystem.

The birds featured during the program are part of EAWRC’s team of Education Ambassadors. These non-releasable animals help the Center educate the community about native wildlife, conservation and the importance of respecting and protecting the animals that share our environment.

The afternoon offers families and wildlife enthusiasts a unique opportunity to connect with some of Long Island’s incredible wildlife while learning more about the lifesaving rehabilitation and educational work performed by the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center.
