There’s plenty happening on the East End this fall — and plenty to keep on the radar in New York City, too. This week brings Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean to Central Park, Harry Styles to Madison Square Garden and Lin-Manuel Miranda to the Delacorte for one night only. The Armory Show returns, the New York Film Festival opens, Chelsea Handler hits the Beacon, and the city gets its first-ever Pizza Week.

The 64th New York Film Festival kicks off Friday with the North American premiere of James Gray’s Paper Tiger, starring Adam Driver, Miles Teller and Scarlett Johansson. Opening weekend launches more than two weeks of premieres, filmmaker appearances and screenings through Oct. 12.

Little Italy, Manhattan
A New York tradition hits a milestone as the Feast of San Gennaro celebrates its 100th year. Mulberry Street and the surrounding blocks fill with Italian food, music, religious traditions and entertainment, with the centennial Grand Procession taking place Monday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m.

The Brooklyn Book Festival returns for its 21st year with hundreds of writers and literary events across the city.
