But according to whispers reaching The U.S. Sun, this “room where it happens” isn’t the legendary SiriusXM studio in Manhattan at all. It’s Stern’s home in the Hamptons.

At 72, Stern has slimmed down his schedule, slipping into a once-a-week taping routine since September 14. Every Monday, he records. By Thursday, that session hits HBO Max in a tight, edited package. On the surface, it sounds like a negotiating win: less live radio, more curated TV — a little more sizzle, a little less grind. But insiders say the show beaming into living rooms across the country isn’t coming from the iconic midtown studio that’s fueled Stern’s mythos. It’s being taped at his Hamptons estate.

In truth, Stern fans probably aren’t shocked. Since 2020, he and his wife, Beth, have pretty much retreated to their place out east. He’s broadcast from a custom-built home studio, ditching the daily commute, and Beth’s been upfront about their Manhattan visits being rare exceptions. So the fact that Stern would go full Hamptons for TV? Not exactly a twist; it’s straight out of his pandemic playbook.

But then, there’s the sizzle. When SiriusXM and HBO Max rolled out their big announcement in August, it was practically a love letter to nostalgia. The marketing leaned hard on the fantasy: viewers, perched at home, finally breathing the same studio air as Stern and his crew. If the action’s all going down in a quiet living room a hundred miles from the city, that sell starts to look more like a clever metaphor than a literal address.

Still, none of this changes the end product. Episodes keep rolling onto HBO Max every Thursday, edited and packaged as always. Stern’s doing Stern, no matter where his slippers are parked. The only real drama is this: Do you need a Manhattan soundstage for “prestige TV,” or does a souped-up den with a view of Montauk work just fine?
