Bell & Anchor Gives Sag Harbor a Reason to Dine Out All Week

The waterfront restaurant’s fall lineup brings Chicken Milanese, lobster, bouillabaisse and ramen to the table, with a different dinner special for nearly every night of the week.
Fall hits different on the East End. The crowds are gone, the breeze has a chill, and there’s finally an open evening or two to really dig into dinner—not just eat and dash before the next thing. That’s the moment Bell & Anchor leans into best, rolling out a rotation of dinner specials that make midweek feel like something to look forward to.

The seafood spot on Noyac Road in Sag Harbor has four themed nights: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Each one gives regulars and newcomers a fresh excuse to drop in. Think Chicken Milanese early in the week, lingering bowls of bouillabaisse, classic lobster plates, and — because even Sag Harbor can surprise you — a full ramen night.

Tuesday means Chicken Milanese Night: $36 gets you a three-course spread if you want it, starting with your pick of an appetizer and landing on crisp chicken with greens, fennel, cherry tomatoes, and shaved Parm, all glossed with Champagne vinaigrette. Toss in dessert for $6.

Appetizers hit the classics like Home Port Chowder and Crispy Portobello, but if you’re in the mood to splurge, there’s Tuna Poke or Burrata with roasted tomato and grilled bread.
By the time Wednesday rolls around, it’s Lobster Night, and everything tilts toward the sea. Go full comfort with “Old School” Lobster Garganelli tossed with sweet corn, basil, and a rich saffron cream ($42). If you’re a traditionalist, order the whole steamed lobster (1½ pounds, with haricots verts and fingerlings, $65). Or commit to the blowout with a butter-poached lobster tail and grilled filet mignon, all for $78.

Thursday goes big with Bouillabaisse Night. Picture a deep bowl steaming with white fish, lobster tail, mussels, clams, and shrimp, swimming in tomato-saffron broth. Appetizer included, all for $48; dessert, as always, is yours for an extra six.
Then there’s Sunday Ramen Night. For $32, the kitchen puts together a bowl loaded with dashi, shiitake mushrooms, baby bok choy, nori, and that perfect runny egg. Want it even richer? Add shrimp and pork belly, chicken breast, or salmon for $6. Dessert’s there too, if you’ve got room.

Each night has its own vibe. The line-up seems built for this in-between season, when the restaurant scene slows down and becomes about favorite places, not social climbing. That’s when people start coming back, week after week.
Bell & Anchor sits just outside Sag Harbor Village, right on the water at 3253 Noyac Road. The focus stays tight: seafood, steaks, what’s local, and what’s in season. Owners David Loewenberg and Sam McCleland also run The Beacon up the road, so they know the territory.
Doors open Tuesday through Sunday at 5:30 p.m. You’ll probably want a reservation, but walk-ins usually snag a table. If you’d rather eat at home, they’ve got takeaway and curbside covered too.
Menus can shift, but the promise holds: from Tuesday to Sunday, there’s always a reason to swing back in. Call 631-725-3400 or head to Bell & Anchor for reservations.
