Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center to Host Virtual Rescue Transport Volunteer Training Class
The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and orphaned wildlife, will host a virtual Rescue Transport Volunteer Training Class on Sunday, October 25, at 3 p.m. via Zoom. The class is designed for individuals interested in making a meaningful difference in the lives of Long Island’s wildlife by volunteering to assist with animal rescues and transportation.
Rescue transport volunteers play an important role in wildlife rehabilitation, helping ensure that animals in need receive timely care and attention. From injured birds to orphaned mammals, these volunteers help connect vulnerable wildlife with the professional care they need at the Center.
During the virtual training session, participants will learn more about the rescue and transport process, the responsibilities of volunteers and how they can become involved in supporting the Center’s lifesaving mission.
The training is an opportunity for animal lovers and community members to take an active role in protecting Long Island’s native wildlife. Whether participants are longtime wildlife enthusiasts or simply looking for a rewarding way to give back, the class offers an introduction to becoming part of the Center’s volunteer rescue network.
The Rescue Transport Volunteer Training Class will take place on Sunday, October 25, at 3 p.m. exclusively via Zoom. Those interested in participating must register in advance by emailing development@wildliferescuecenter.orgto receive the Zoom link.
