The nationwide “No Kings” movement returns to the East End on Saturday, March 28, with coordinated rallies and marches planned in Riverhead, Hampton Bays, Greenport, Sag Harbor, and East Hampton.

Now in its third wave since launching in June 2025, the movement has grown from a single day of protest into a sustained national mobilization. Organizers describe it as a nonviolent effort focused on defending democratic principles, with an emphasis on de-escalation and community participation.

Across the East End, each town will host its own version of the day’s events:

Greenport kicks off the morning from 10 a.m. to noon at Mitchell Park, featuring speakers, protest art, and music before a march through the village.

Riverhead will host one of the largest demonstrations, beginning with a two-mile march at noon from Riverhead High School to Town Hall and the Suffolk County Supreme Court, followed by a rally at 1:30 p.m.

Sag Harbor’s gathering will take place at Steinbeck Park from 11 a.m. to noon, while East Hampton will host a rally on the front lawn of Town Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with shuttle service available due to limited parking.

In Hampton Bays, events run from noon to 2 p.m. along Montauk Highway, organized by Indivisible Long Island, and include an optional march route. The group is also hosting a separate morning rally at the Riverhead County Center.

Additionally, a 40-mile “March March” will begin at the Montauk Lighthouse at 8 a.m., ending in Hampton Bays later that evening.

Organizers cite a range of local and national concerns driving participation, while emphasizing unity, peaceful protest, and civic engagement at the core of the movement.

More information on all events can be found at the official No Kings website.
