THE SPARK HOT LIST: Who’s Making Sparks This Week – Apr. 9, 2026
This week’s SPARK MAKERS: Gwyneth Paltrow, Belle Burden, Christie Brinkley, Billy Joel, Ina Garten, Julie Keyes, Oscar Molina, Tim & Enzo Morabito
NYT Best-Selling Book “Strangers” Brings on a Bidding War & Gwyneth
Everyone is talking about Belle Burden‘s New York Times bestselling book, “Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage” (2026), where the Vanderbilt heiress chronicles the devastation and pain of divorce after her 20-year marriage abruptly ended during the pandemic. Katie Couric and Judy Blume raved about the book. Once Oprah gave her blessing, a big-screen moment was inevitable.

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to star in and executive produce the movie adaptation after a bidding war that landed the rights at Netflix—so keep your rising subscription a little while longer.
Goop Kitchen Hits the UES
Speaking of Gwyneth, her Goop Kitchen fast-casual, takeout-and-delivery-only restaurant is coming to the Upper East Side. Goop Kitchen signage has been spotted at 346 East 92nd Street, between First and Second Avenues, exciting fans in the space where the beloved Butterfield Kitchen recently vacated.

With 14 locations in California and reportedly two more coming to NYC (Flatiron and UWS), Paltrow’s brand of “clean eating”—no refined sugars, processed foods, gluten, dairy, seed oils, corn, peanuts, or preservatives—is catching on. Will salads, wraps, pizzas, pastas, and sea salt brownies find a home on The East End? Stay tuned, and toned.
Christie Brinkley Brings Her A-Game to Palm Beach
If you thought Palm Beach and The Colony Hotel couldn’t get any more chic, Christie Brinkley just raised the bar when she stayed at Sarah Wetenhall‘s Pink Paradise while in town to host the amfAR Gala at the home of Chris and Ann Flowers — a French chateau-style mansion that won the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach’s 2025 Schuler Award.

“Spend without regret,” Brinkley told the well-heeled crowd, as she literally radiated beauty inside and out. Her presence lifted the evening, which featured performances by John Legend and Gloria Gaynor, and the lively auction raised $3.4M for AIDS/HIV research. A New Store in Southampton to See & Buy Art: Keyes General
A walk into Julie Keyes Art Gallery on Main Street in Sag Harbor (right next to The American Hotel) is always an entertaining, art-filled experience. Keyes’ curatorial eye is as sharp as her wit, keeping visitors laughing between glimpses of blue-chip deKoonings, Wyeths, Rozeals, and Joan Mitchell paintings. Now art fans will have a second Keyes art space when Keyes General opens in Southampton this month.
Keyes General, a store for art, is opening in Southampton on April 15, 2026.
“It’s more like a store,” says Keyes. “It’s literally art off the wall.” Located at One Hampton Road, Keyes General will feature accessible artworks, including ceramics, prints, and paintings for purchase. The soft opening is April 15, with a major reception to follow.
Julies Keyes
Keyes has been busy. On April 16, she will moderate a discussion with artists from the show she juried at the Newport Art Museum in January: Springboard: Members’ Juried Exhibition. The talk will be live-streamed and cover topics like, “What distinguishes a professional artist from an emerging artist—if anything at all?” and “What role does branding and marketing play in your career as an artist?” Info/tickets: Newport Art Museum.
A First for the Venice Biennale: Southampton Resident Oscar Molina
Southampton resident Oscar Molina, a painter and sculptor whose work has been featured in Julie Keyes Art Gallery in Sag Harbor and Palm Beach, as well as in his own Hamptons studio, is now in Venice preparing for the Venice Biennale in May, where he will represent El Salvador—a first in the country’s history.

Molina, born in El Salvador and sent to the U.S. as a teenager during the civil war, has a remarkable success story: learning English, becoming a U.S. citizen, buying his own home, and running a high-end landscaping company—all before finding his calling as a visual artist.
In Venice, Molina will present a solo exhibition, “Cartographies of the Displaced”, featuring 15–18 abstract sculptures from his “Children of the World” (2019–ongoing) series, which portrays huddled figures in motion. We wish him the best and can’t wait to hear about the Biennale.
Ina Garten’s Be My Guest Returns with Star Power
East Hampton’s Ina Garten welcomes friends and stars into her home and kitchen in a brand-new season of Be My Guest with Ina Garten, premiering Saturday, April 11 at 12 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network, streaming next day on HBO Max and discovery+.
