From Mineola to Montauk, Long Islanders joined a wave of “No Kings” rallies sweeping the nation on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 — part of what organizers called a collective stand for democracy.

Across roughly a dozen Long Island towns, thousands of protesters turned out for peaceful demonstrations tied to the larger, nationwide “No Kings” movement, which saw marches in thousands of cities and smaller communities across the U.S. Organizers estimated millions participated nationwide.

In East Hampton, several hundred residents gathered near Town Hall on Pantigo Road late Saturday morning. Traffic was heavy with cars honking horns, and protestors displaying handmade signs under clear skies. Police reported no incidents.
