Bonita DeWolf and Janifer Jaeger join the 150-year-old firm’s Sag Harbor office, bringing more than five decades of combined East End experience.
Brown Harris Stevens just scored a win in the ongoing shuffle of Hamptons brokers. On Tuesday, the firm announced it’s bringing on Bonita DeWolf and Janifer Jaeger — two well-known South Fork agents who left Christie’s International Real Estate. They’ll set up shop at BHS’s Sag Harbor office.
Together, they have more than fifty years of East End real estate know-how — an edge that comes in handy when deals hinge on things like zoning quirks or tricky septic easements.
DeWolf’s got over thirty years in the South Fork’s luxury market, handling just about every side of a deal — buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants. She’s closed many multi-million-dollar sales. Her resume looks like a tour of top Hamptons firms: she started at Dayton Halstead in 1998, spent almost two decades at Corcoran’s East Hampton office, switched to Christie’s, and now she’s landed at BHS.
DeWolf put it pretty simply: “I’ve spent thirty years building my business and my life in the Hamptons. Having the right platform matters, and Brown Harris Stevens — with its 150-year legacy, strong reputation, and a clear vision — is exactly that.”
Jaeger grew up in Sag Harbor and has been working across sales, marketing, management, and brokerage for more than twenty years. At Corcoran, she climbed the ranks to Senior Managing Director, then became a Licensed Associate Broker.

BHS’s Hamptons heads, Robert Nelson and Philip O’Connell, see these hires as evidence the firm is gaining serious ground across the East End. “We’re thrilled to welcome Bonita and Janifer,” they said in a joint statement. “Both have deep Hamptons roots and know how to thrive in this market. Karaline Menacher, also joining from Christie’s, brings an architect’s eye — she spent over twenty years in design before jumping into real estate.
All these additions reinforce BHS’s big presence on the East End, where offices stretch from Southampton and East Hampton to Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, Westhampton Beach, and the North Fork. The company, founded in 1873, now has more than 2,300 agents across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida.
